I started my career straight from school, installing kitchens while doing a carpentry apprenticeship, and carrying out electrical work under supervision. My boss was a local guy who had over 35 years’ experience and he was a great mentor.

After 7 years, aged 23, I decided to set up my own business and, once self-employed, I set about getting my own electrical qualifications to further the skills I could offer my customers.

I have made sure that I have all the relevant insurance and training in place to ensure that my installations go smoothly and with all the correct paperwork issued, including:

- Public liability insurance
- Disclosure and barring service
- Asbestos awareness training
- NICeic Approved contractor
- Gas safe certification

Other accreditations that I have gained over my career include:

- Miai worktop approved installer
- Maxtop worktop approved installer
- Alusplash accredited installer

Over the years installing for the big companies I began to see that things could be done better and I wanted more for my customers. I believe that by keeping supply and installation separate some of the big companies let us down.

I have set up Kitchens by You to improve the service I can bring to customers. I can now provide a new and better experience to you by supplying and installing new kitchens in house, with one point of call – Me! I hope that I can be of service to you!
